Description
Our horse manure is composted for at least 16 weeks at a temperature that will kill seeds, pathogens and fly larva. It is then shredded before packaging to produce a friable product which is easy to spread.
Horse manure can either be forked or rotavated into the soil or can be applied as a mulch. It will control weed growth and help to retain moisture but will eventually be incorporated into the soil by the action of weather and worms, when it will enrich your soil.
It will control weed growth and help to retain moisture but will eventually be incorporated into the soil by the action of weather and worms, when it will enrich your soil. This well rotted horse manure can be used on all herbaceous borders, flower, vegetable beds and of course is especially good for roses.
Woodland Horticulture can supply in 60 litre bags, bulk bags or in loose bulk loads anywhere in the UK.
Gardening tip: You can improve the soil with just a 2-3 inch (50mm to 75mm) layer of the manure. Then fork or rotavate into the soil.
